Impacting Sexual
Violence in Our
Community

Our Mission

The Sexual Assault Program is dedicated to helping people regain their security and confidence following an assault and to educating the community about the issue of sexual violence.

Rape… Incest... Sexual Abuse... Molestation... Sexual Harassment. Sexual assault is a crime of violence, manipulation and exploitation. It includes any unwanted sexual act or contact that is attempted or completed against a person’s will.

Since 1976, the Sexual Assault Program has been providing services to victims of sexual assault and their families. In 2003, over 4,500 residents in Saginaw County received services provided by the Sexual Assault Program. Due to the generosity of The United Way, Victims of Crime Act Victims Assistance Grant, and the Michigan Department of Community Health, our services are provided for free to all clients.
