October is Depression Awareness Month
Depression is more...
Having a few bad days or feeling low, sad, or just down is not depression. Depression is bigger than sadness and if untreated can be serious. True depression affects a person's entire well-being. Depression can affect not only a person's emotional well-being, but physical health and daily thoughts. Without training and extensive knowledge about depression it can be difficult to recognize and understand the variety of areas in our lives it can affect. Untreated depression robs a person of the quality of life we all strive for.
